Prakash Raj, a prominent figure in Indian cinema, is currently at the center of a public dispute with producer S. Vinod Kumar. The controversy ignited when Vinod accused Raj of causing a ₹1 crore loss by abruptly leaving a film set without notice.
The issue surfaced after Prakash Raj shared a photo on X (formerly Twitter) with Udhayanidhi Stalin, the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, using the hashtag “#JustAsking.” Vinod Kumar responded, claiming Raj’s sudden disappearance disrupted production and led to financial losses.
Vinod’s remarks also touched on Prakash Raj’s political ambitions. Following his electoral defeat in 2019, Vinod pointed out that while others in the photo had succeeded in their elections, Raj had not, highlighting his struggles in both politics and the film industry.
Adding to his controversies, Prakash Raj recently clashed with actor and politician Pawan Kalyan over the distribution of Tirupati laddu. Raj criticized Kalyan’s comments on the Laddu process, raising questions about its political implications, which further fueled discussions about Raj’s stance on social issues.
Despite the serious allegations from Vinod Kumar, Prakash Raj has remained silent, prompting speculation about his reasons for exiting the set. This silence is particularly striking given his typically outspoken nature on various issues.
